Seyhan, Ceyhan ve Asi Havzalarının Kuraklık Yönetim Eylem Planları
Reducing the negative impacts of drought on natural resources and socio-economic life is essential for ensuring the rational and sustainable use of limited water resources in the basin. It is anticipated that the Seyhan, Ceyhan, and Asi Basins, which are critical for Turkey's energy and agricultural production, will be adversely affected by climate change. Drought indices will be used to monitor meteorological, hydrological, and agricultural drought conditions. Sectoral vulnerability analysis will be conducted due to changes in surface water and groundwater budgets caused by potential drought. Measures will be proposed for sectors to mitigate or prevent the effects of drought and water scarcity.
Definition of the actual services provided by our personnel within the scope of assignment:
Data collection
Assessment of meteorological, hydrological, and agricultural drought conditions using drought indices (SPI, SPEI, SRI, PDSI, PNI, VCI, SGI)
Water Budget Studies for surface water and groundwater
Modeling the potential of groundwater reserves based on changes in precipitation and temperature caused by climate change using groundwater models.
Identifying suggestions and measures for areas where groundwater levels will decline during dry periods in model results
