PETKİM Havzası Yağmursuyu Drenajı Projelerinin Hazırlanması
The Petkim Basin Rainwater Drainage Project, ongoing since 2021, has been designed considering both 2-year and 50-year flow rates. It has been determined that the existing channel cross-section is inadequate for the 2-year flow. Furthermore, it has been understood that there are issues related to space suitability and implementation difficulties for an additional cross-section to accommodate the 50-year flow. It has been identified that the only existing access route must be used to add a channel cross-section to the area.
The goal of this project is to achieve the following objectives:
Reducing the burden on the drainage system through the recovery of rainwater, and ultimately lowering the investment costs that will arise,
Minimizing the risk of water allocation that may arise from the possibility of severe drought,
Eliminating the risks that may occur as a result of floods expected to continue in the future,
Obtaining a system suitable for PETKİM's sustainability values in terms of economic, institutional, and environmental aspects,
Reducing dependence on external water sources by ensuring water efficiency in the region.
