İklim Riskleri Değerlendirmesine Yönelik Fiziksel Risklerin Sayısallaştırılması Danışmanlığı Hizmetleri
The average temperature increase, meteorological drought, strong winds, heatwaves, forest fires, heavy rainfall and flooding, water stress, landslides (wet), and rising sea levels have been evaluated in terms of physical risks on a location (region) basis within the project framework. The ‘exposure’ of the planned investments and companies to climate risks is a parameter for the climate risk assessment model developed by TSKB. As part of determining exposure values for 8 provinces in the project, new assessments have been made for the periods 2021-2040 and 2041-2060 using the results of the scientific models MPI-RCP4.5 and MPI-RCP8.5 from the Climate Change Effects on Water Resources Project (İklimsu) that we conducted for the General Directorate of Water Management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry between the years 2013-2016 for ten-year projection periods. The exposure variable in the model has been examined in the context of geographic location. Here, the location parameter is defined primarily at the scale of 25 river basins in Turkey, including the local level where the relevant assets are located, and then specified for the sub-basins and provinces that fall within these basins.
Main sectors worked within the project:
Electricity generation
Distribution
Agriculture and Livestock
Mining
Production
Construction and Real Estate
Tourism
Based on these 7 main sectors, a sectoral sensitivity scoring for 45 sub-sectors has been conducted by io Environmental Solutions. The scoring has also been carried out as a collaboration between io Environmental Solutions and TSKB for climate scoring.
