Elektrik Üretim A.Ş.'nin Özelleştirilmesi İçin Çevre Danışmanlığı ve Bağlı Ortaklıkları
The main objective of the project is to create added value for these investments by minimizing the environmental risks of the public plants to be privatized. The project includes an environmental status assessment of the existing 45 plants, which account for 36% of Turkey's installed capacity. In this context, the environmental impacts of 27 hydropower and 18 thermal plants are being examined, measures to be taken for compliance with national and EU environmental legislation are being investigated, and the current and future environmental investment needs of the plants are being identified. The IPPC BAT implementations in energy plants (according to the BAT Reference Document for Large Combustion Plants, in particular) are evaluated, including the performance of these implementations, greenhouse gas emissions levels, and emission reduction potentials. Operational performance improvement options are also provided based on the BAT Reference Documents. The prepared facility reports will be used as informational documents for investors to anticipate the current and future investment and operational needs of the facilities regarding environmental issues.
