The goal of the Project Development is to improve access to municipal services, including safely managed water supply, sanitation, and solid waste services in targeted municipalities affected by the influx of Syrian refugees in Turkey. The scope of Environmental Solutions is to develop Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental and Social Management Plans, Resettlement Plans, Subsequent Social Audits, Stakeholder Participation Plans, Environmental and Social Management Frameworks, and Labor Management Procedures on behalf of İller Bankası A.Ş. for the following projects funded by the World Bank under the Financial Assistance Program for Refugees in Turkey (FRIT) II - Municipal Services Improvement Project, and to organize public participation meetings.

The definition of the actual services provided by your personnel under the task: - A total of 12 reports are prepared in both English and Turkish, including 4 Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, 3 Environmental and Social Management Plans, 3 Resettlement Plans, and 2 Ex-post Social Audit Reports.
Within the scope of this project, the environmental, social, economic, physical, geological, hydrogeological, and biological characteristics of the project areas are being assessed. Comprehensive data analysis has been conducted. The anticipated environmental, health, and safety impacts of the projects have been assessed for the construction and operational phases in accordance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, 2017. Mitigation measures are identified and reported to ensure the project meets the World Bank Standard. In the meantime, social experts are working on ex-post and future land acquisition practices and reporting deficiencies and mitigations in accordance with the World Bank's ESF.
In the meantime, a total of six Stakeholder Engagement Plans for each sub-borrower along with a Labor Management Procedure and an Environmental and Social Management Framework for the Municipalities Bank have been developed.
Following the submission of draft ESIAs and ESMPs, a total of eight public participation meetings have been organized to engage with the stakeholders of the projects.
